The main focus this webinar exclusively for Movendi International members will be drug prevention and how to best mobilise communities.
In different countries, drug prevention remains a disregarded and overlooked dimension of the drug policy debate. For example, in Sri Lanka where a debate about marijuana legalization is taking place and in Norway where the government has proposed a so-called “drug policy reform” drug prevention perspectives are at risk of being overlooked. But Movendi International members have had success in mobilizing communities to raise the level of attention paid to prevention topics.
In this webinar, we will hear from and discuss with the leaders of ADIC Sri Lanka and IOGT Norway about their efforts, experiences and lessons learned.
Together, we will discuss drug prevention topics, drug policy issues in Sri Lanka and Norway and best practices for community mobilization.
Movendi International is dedicating the month of April 2021 to a deeper dive into drug policy issues. Therefore, we will also highlight our side event at the upcoming Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND 2021).
