The Civil Society Forum  took place prior to the 54th Session of the Commission for Social Development (CSocD54) on February 1 and 2, 2016.

The Forum supported participants in refining their understanding of the relationship between CsocD54 and Agenda 2030, and formulating concrete recommendations for the Commission. The Forum has been planned by the NGO Committee for Social Development in joint sponsorship with UN‐DESA Division for Social Policy and Development (DSPD)and the Friedrich‐Ebert‐Stiftung, New York Office.

Civil Society representatives broke into regional and thematic groups to discuss and sketch out possible solutions to the social development issues their respective communities are facing.
