A report of the on-going work, this time directly from the Big Apple and the United Nations. We fight for a #LifeSetFree from alcohol and other drugs…

A few days ago I had the honor and pleasure to be in New York and represent IOGT Intenrational at the United Nations General Assembly.

During the thematic debate on ”Drugs and Crime as a Threat to Development” in the UN General Assembly, I had the possibility of meeting the President of the General Assembly, His Excellence Mr Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser. In the meeting, Mr Nassir expressed his strong support of the Civil Society Organization’s work in the field of Drug Demand and Rehabilitation Programs. A closer cooperation between the Civil Society, the private sector and the Member States was a key element in the progress of working with the Drug problem.

If you are interested how it looks like during the sessions, you might find this link exciting. And 2 hours, 26 minutes into the stream, you’ll be able to see a prove that I really was there.
